IJM partners with the Tamil Nadu government for the Central Sector Scheme survey on bonded labour in 2 districts

IJM partnered with the Tamil Nadu government to conduct bonded labour surveys in the districts of Tiruvallur and Tiruvarur. This study was conducted to fulfil the requirements prescribed in the Central Sector Scheme for the rehabilitation of bonded labourers (2016), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

The district government invited IJM to conduct a workshop for the field data enumerators. The training focused on the objective and purpose of the survey, field testing and more. As a technical advisor on this project, IJM trained the data enumerators on conducting the survey and supported the government with data collection and analysis.
