Workshop at Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy

A workshop on combating bonded labour was conducted for over 73 judicial magistrates as well as district judges at the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy in Chennai. IJM was invited as one of the resource persons for the event.

The workshop comprehensively covered the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act 1976, the Indian Penal Code, and Inter State Migrant Workmen Act. The Resource persons presented the participants with practical experiences, case studies and insights and the penal provisions.
